The Red Wings went a bit off the board with their second round pick of the 2017 draft, selecting Swedish defenseman Gustav Nyquist wat 38th overall.
McKeen's ranked him 103rd overall. ISS ranked him at 159th.
Lindstrom (6'2, 190) played last season with Almtuna in Sweden's second division. He scored two goals and seven assists and had 26 PIM in 48 games.
According to McKeen's, he has average top sThey report he has precision passing.
Of course, like 98 percent of NHL prospects he must get stronger.
McKeen's saw him as a second round pick - at the highest. They say he was also a talented golfer who chose hockey a little later, so he hasn't taken the same route as most Swedish prospects.
Consequently, they think he's got quite a bit of room to develop.
