Mrazek Starting To Pull Away as Howard Falters

 11/29/2015 - 06:43

Detroit Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard is 3-0 in his last three starts but he's not played well since he was pulled from the Nov. 8 game against Dallas after being accidentally kneed in the head by Jason Spezza. Since then, Howard has given up three goals every game and he's posted a save percentage of .875.

Petr Mrazek has been his same, spectacular self.

Here are the goalies' records in October and November.

October W-L-O Sv Pct GAAvg
Howard 2-2-1 .928 2.19
Mrazek 3-3-0 .921 2.68
November W-L-O Sv Pct GAAvg
Howard 4-2-0 .898 2.58
Mrazek 3-1-2 .942 1.76

Howard's W-L record has masked a pretty dismal month. The Red Wings need Howard to turn it around. Nobody wants a $5M goalie rotting on the end of the bench.
