Detroit Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard is 3-0 in his last three starts but he's not played well since he was pulled from the Nov. 8 game against Dallas after being accidentally kneed in the head by Jason Spezza. Since then, Howard has given up three goals every game and he's posted a save percentage of .875.
Petr Mrazek has been his same, spectacular self.
Here are the goalies' records in October and November.
October | W-L-O | Sv Pct | GAAvg |
Howard | 2-2-1 | .928 | 2.19 |
Mrazek | 3-3-0 | .921 | 2.68 |
November | W-L-O | Sv Pct | GAAvg |
Howard | 4-2-0 | .898 | 2.58 |
Mrazek | 3-1-2 | .942 | 1.76 |
Howard's W-L record has masked a pretty dismal month. The Red Wings need Howard to turn it around. Nobody wants a $5M goalie rotting on the end of the bench.
